The Moments of Blessings House of Prayer was established in 1968 by Bishop George R. Archie in Sacramento CA. With a vision to reach the world for Christ, a radio broadcast was started a short time later through many souls were saved and added to the church. The church continued to grow and in 1972, moved to its current location. In 1995, construction was completed on a new sanctuary which the church is headquarted.

Bishop George Archie has travelled extensively throughout the United States and the world including such places as Jerusalem, Ghana, West Africa, Jamaica, London, Mexico, Germany, and Johannesburg South Africa. Through the preaching of the Word of God, his life has been used by God to bless, heal, deliver and bring salvation to many lives. Miracles of blinded eyes being opened, the deaf receiving their hearing, the dumb talking, teeth being miraculously filled, stroke victims recovering, have been experienced and witnessed by many.

God has given Bishop Archie a vision of outreach for both the community and the world that includes television, radio, feeding programs, convalescent and prison ministries, daycare and afterschool tutoring programs, witnessing and visitation ministries and Christian education.

In 1993, Bishop Archie and a board of Bishops and pastors established and incorporated the International Churches of Prayer Fellowship, Inc. This body of leaders are united in promoting the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and both restoring and encouraging all people in brotherly love and close Christian fellowship.
